The story is as old as Dracula himself and this movie does not bring anything new to the platter. The 1992 Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder starrier had a twist of a love story in it which was very unusual for a horror flick. I am not a big fan for horror movies but the reason I watched the earlier version was its uniqueness and was expecting something similar here. But the new Dracula is no were close to it and it also disappoints with a thin storyline. The movie is highly predictive and is so dark that the CG effects are hard to appreciate.

From performance point of view barring Luke Evans there is not much to write about. What I liked about the movie was the ending especially when they show Dracula in the modern world. It gives a hint as to how the next sequel of Dracula may look like. I look forward to a more interesting and engrossing story next time.
