Movie Review – The Hundred-Foot Journey ***1/2

2014-09-18-hundredfootjourney

It is a movie where best of two worlds meet. You have Om Puri on hand and Helen Mirren on the other. It is a story of an Indian family of cooks wandering across the world in search of a place to settle done and do what they do best COOK. They end up in a country side in France where they have to compete with a Michelin star restaurant run by Helen.

Though when you have stars like Om and Helen you don’t really notice other but Manish Dayal and Charlotte Le Bon are worth mentioning. The movie has a heart and soul of its  own and the final dish is tasty. Helped with beautiful landscapes and moods of France captured on the canvas it is defiantly watchable. You might also feel the aroma of good food and love.
