Badlapur is a story of a man whose life is turned upside down by an incidence and the rest results in a movie which is dark but at the same time has bright spots. IT has some touching moments and in the very next moment it is ruthless. A movie excellently crafted, in fact it is so good that I couldn’t stop myself reviewing it on the first day after watching it.
Varun Dhawan tries to break out from his comfort zone of romantic comedies and give a stellar performance. It is without dough his best till date. Every body from Huma Qurashi to Yami Gautam to Divya Dutta have well crafted roles and they all did justice. But the movie belongs to Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He was so effortless it seems as if he was living Liak. It was difficult to separate the actor from the character he was playing and that is a hallmark of a class leading actor.
Sriram Raghavan directing this movie and co writing it with Arijit Biswas ensured that you are at the edge of your seats from scene one. The sleek story-line, crisp screenplay and of course supported by an ensemble of great talent make this movie a great watch.
Don’t miss it…
