Movie Review – Nanak Shah Fakir

Nanak-Shah-Fakir-poster

Based on life of first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak.

Between breath-taking landscape and truly larger than life cinematography this is a story of Guru Nanak told by his companion Mardana play by Arif Zakaria. This is a story of one’s great belief in humanity and its spirituality. It also strengthens my belief that religion divides men but spirituality unites them. I think the director really meant it when he writes that this movie is produced and directed by Guru Nanak himself.

Apart from scoring length and breath of this beautiful country this movie is also blessed with out of the world music , Sabad’s and background music. Though music is given by Uttam Singh that is a strong presence of A R Rehman’s style and Rasool Pookutty’s sound mixing. All in all a must watch for all those who believe in humanity and love.

P.s. There are infinite stars in this cosmos God has created hence I don’t think rating this movie or giving it stars will do justice to it. I leave the judgement to you.
