Pawan’s some what sorted life gets upside down when he finds a lost mute girl on the streets who happens to be a Pakistani citizen. He then takes on himself to deliver the girl to her parents even if it means travelling to the forbidden land without a proper visa.
A story like this can only work in a Salman Khan film as all the others will be killed trespassing the border. What is good to know that this film at least has a story and not just the Superstar. He is not the usual He-Man for once which is good to know. This kind of India Pakistan film is as rare as US Russia collaboration for a space mission. There are two very bright spots in the movie once you get past the Khan, first Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He seems to get all his act right be it Gangs of Wasseypur, Kahaani, Lunch Box or Badlapur and he proves again that he can shine even in the present of the Superstar. The other highlight is Harshali Malhotra, she is adorable.
The movie is long and some parts are unnecessarily stretched. Kareena Kapoor Khan has limited scope something which we are getting use to nowadays. Om Puri’s cameo as a Maulana is sweet. Some of the one liners in the film are also top class. And finally it is hard to believe that Adnan Sami can look the way he did in the song, 160 kg down, chal Selfie le le re.
It is a feel good movie from Kabir Khan with lots for a Salman Khan fan.
